Poem - Clouds

CLOUDS
Clouds float by on errant wings
Passing at the whims of wind
Forever moving as our dreams
Over landscapes not really seen
Just like our thoughts, drifting by
White or gray with heart’s desire
Happy, light as sparrow’s flight
Or dark and sad as desert’s night
Twisted monoliths of might
Or cotton candy’s sweet delight
Filled with love or filled with ire
Or filled with passion’s hot desire
Soft as pillows on the bed
Creatures each as we aspire
Bears and wolves, geese or hawk
Dragon, imp, or deer and fox
As sunset tints with pinkish glow
Our thoughts vanish in the night
Perchance to have a dream or two
Of Natures wondrous clouds in flight
