I shed some tears the other day
For a dear sweet friend of mine
Wrapped them with silver moonlight
And the golden light of day
Placed them in some boxes
Made of the love we shared
Gave them to friends and family
A gift from her and me
For her friendship is a rainbow
A snowflake on the wind
Silver moonlight on the waters
A cooling summer’s breeze
It’s the jewel of remembrance
Of the smile never lost
Of the laughter always present
Within our deepest thoughts
She will always be a treasure
In my memories vault
There with all the beauty
That Nature carefully wrought
Souls once touched are never parted
For as day and night do come
She waits for us just down the road
There at the setting of the sun
A gift, from a brother to a sister in loving memory of Christine, her dear friend.
