Poem - Secrets

There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That’s whispered in the green grass tall
And along the mountain streams
The secret is of times now passed
Of long lost circles joined and parted
Where spells were weaved and songs were song
To the Goddess of three faces
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That is gently whispered in the Spring
And on the Summer’s breeze
That they honored all the Sabbats
The lesser and the great
And that they called upon the Lady
To heal, enjoin and ward
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
As the leaves all danced about
Upon the Autumn’s breeze
That they were simple people
That sought no honor as their prize
Just the students and the teachers
Of the Lady’s living rites
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That is whispered near the fires
On a freezing Winter’s eve
That they offered harm to no one
As they lived the three fold law
Nature’s child was each one
Friend to hoof, feather, tooth and claw
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That is still whispered by the wood sprites
Under old oak trees
That Nature has not forgotten
These old ones who once were
That the power is still witnessed
And the Goddess does draw near
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That the Goddess has watched over them
In love, trust and harmony
Down through all the centuries
She has waited for them here
Amongst the Old One’s circles
Her magick but to share
It is whispered that they are Witches
Who across this world abide
That they listen to the Lady’s voice
And for love and peace do strive
There is a secret sang the wind
To the willow trees
That no longer is there secrets
Just Her promised blessing soon to be
