Poem - Within The Mist

Within The Mist©
Mist shrouded fields beckon me
Time ceases and all that I imagine
Is wrapped within its endless silence
Like an ocean fog it creeps across
The fields around my home
Filled with faerie laughter and joy
It holds my past, present and future
Within its opaque beauty
Until I step within its pale grey curtain
Within the whisper of its magick swirling about me
I can touch the face of my living Goddess
And feel Her gentle hand as it touches mine
I hear the voices of what was and will be
The mystery of all life around me
The enigma of its beginning and end
I hear the call of the owl
I feel the presence of wolf
And understand the mystique of each
I learn that life is for living
That it holds wondrous beauty
And is a treasure to be shared
The mist is an unending wellspring of life
It nourishes the soul, uplifts the spirit
And allows each of us to love
