Poem - Dragon Spires

DRAGON’S SPIRE
I sit upon a spire
Wrapped in ethereal dreams
Amongst the granite cliffs
Within the Mountains of the Moon
My brethren and my sisters
Share the holy space
And contemplate the ages
As they pass within our gaze
Eyes all aglow from moonlight
Like diamonds on black silk
Our scales are all a shimmer
With rainbow’s colored hues
From high upon our spires
We wait for Magick’s call
To lift and spiral on the winds
And answer to its geas
Yet ages pass and still we wait
And know not the reason why
Are we dragons not that special?
Have they forgot the reason why?
For we are guardians of Her holy rites
The keepers of Her peace
And protectors of Her children
Within this time and space
Dear children of the Goddess
Your bidding we await
Call us forth from lofty spires
But call gently with your will
