I Remember
I remember Yule and that winter’s night
As a warrior on a bloody field
Beneath the bright star light
I remember Yule the feel of sword in hand
The cries of all the wounded
That bled and died upon the land
I remember Yule and that winter’s night
As a farmer on the field
Beneath the bright star light
I remember Yule and the feel of hoe in hand
And the cries of my dear children
When food was scarce my friend
I remember Yule and that winter’s night
As a witch within the vale
Beneath the bright starlight
I remember Yule and the feel of hands in mine
And the pulse of Their undying love
As we danced and sang in rhyme
I remember Yule and that winter’s night
As a lost soul in the dark
Beneath the bright starlight
I remember Yule and the gift you gave to me
The love of friendship and of peace
Enough to last eternity
