Poem - Hush

Hush
Hush sweet child of the ages
Sleep deeply neath the canopy of stars
Under moonlight’s loving touch
Till the New Dawn's early morning hours
Sleep and dream of peace and trust
And of your Mother’s gentle touch
Fear not the night time hour’s child
For no evil dwells within thy soul
You are the greatest not the least
The miracle of love’s sweet breath
Of a woman’s loving touch, and
Of a man’s sweet caress
You are the gift sought of old
Within the writings dimmed with age
The one who walks upon the wind
The one which brings peace to all mankind
Hush sweet child until our call
Till we tire of this sad discord
Then come touch us with thy love
Bring to us your blessed grace
