Search
I search the dusty byways
Of Time”s long and endless road
Searching through my memories
For your love that I had lost
I try to capture moments
Of our shared peace and happiness
But find only pools of teardrops
Laying silently in the mist
No laughter in my thoughts
No beauty there I find
Just those final words of anger,
Repose, laying leaden on my mind
I hoped to find the where and why
To grasp the how and when
To balance out these feelings
Finally place the blame
But life lends little credence
To the past and troubles there
Wills the heart and mind
To see the future, bright and clear
I wonder if it’s longing
For a joy that I once felt
Or if it’s just an emptiness
I am trying hard to fill
