Poem - Grey Shadows

Grey Shadows
Grey shadows wrapped in moonlight
Stand along the winding paths
Between the old stone circles
To the present from the past
These shadows have a purpose
They each call out our names
These Guardians of knowledge
Await within sweet magick’s coil
They offer joy and understanding
Of the was and soon will be
If you will open heart and mind
In sweet serenity
Be you gentle Sir or Lady
And walk within the power’s spiral
Dance alone at Midnight’s call
Or embrace the Coven’s wiles
If you but pause a moment
Look within your beating heart
Reach within your gentle soul
And trade the darkness for Her light
You will feel the magick
Wrapped within moon’s silver web
And feel life’s unending strength
When touched by sun’s bright light
If you pause within your Journey
Touch other kindred souls
And understand the quandaries
Within the circles of your past
You will become a Guardian of knowledge
A fountain of delight
Where others come to drink
As the Grey Shadows dance about
