Poem - Silence Reigns

Silence Reigns
Silence reigns within the soul
Blessed by our Lady’s grace
It seeks contentment from Her love
Wrapped within forever’s night
No creature dares to mar its peace
No words disturb its silent reign
No fear destroys its silent joy
Found within the ebony dark
The waiting silence is a future tear
Or maybe just a winsome laugh
A gentle breeze within the stately elm
Or the burble of a dancing stream
The loving touch of a child’s hand
Or a lover’s kiss within the dark
A thoughtful walk on dusty roads
Life’s journey done hand in hand
Love the silence in the soul
For like the rainbow after rain
It’s worth the gold of every King
For its but your future yet untold
