Poem - Samhain

Samhain
As I stand before my altar
Upon this Samhain’s Eve
And gather those about me
Who have passed upon the Wheel
I step within the magick’s spiral
Touch times emetic face
Feel eternity’s breathless wonder
Wrapped within a second’s grace
I light the wanderer’s candle
To guide them to my heart
So they can renew my soul
As Her New Year now unfolds
Anchored to the present
I have stepped within the past
Ask the questions that are needed
From those Witches who have passed
See once again their smiles
Feel their enduring love once more
And know that they are with me
As I step beyond the veil
I pause here for eternity
Or so it seems to me
Feeling in breathless wonder
The Lady’s love for me
So if you want to Journey
And step within the shadows friend
Do so with love and grace
For the old ones gather there
