A Pagan Love Poem

Oh, great and silver asp of my desire;
I see the fox in your fine form.
This wondrous thing must suite the gods;
For our children are all queens.
Should we strike now?
As the mighty dragon might?
Would you redden the bloody brand of love?
The others here have wanting ways;
Must you wade the flow without my hand?
Lets build us high our hallowed hall;
Let us raise a noble clan of three and ten!
We have all known each other before;
And met and merry met again.
But never could we gain;
We wondered the worlds in the dark.
I have seen that goddess light inside;
I will bend the swords of your foes,
And blacken their shields.
