The Night Sky From a Car I'm Not Driving

from my seat
I ignore your presence
I lay low,
leaning as far as I can
to the Right
maybe prentending to be asleep
so that I can be uninterupted
while I focus
the stars grow brighter
as I search for signs
of anything
that might offer some power
I shiver.
Right now,
I need to borrow a coat
from the ladies that ride across the sky
and draw myself in deeper
to that qiuet place
where I can be myself
