Empress

Age Group: Adult
Master to nothing and mistress to no one
Master of nothing but self and my own.
Reaching deep inwards for what is now needed -
Catalyst to something as yet unknown.
Mother, please teach me to move ever onwards;
No longer a child, I wander alone.
Burdened by wonders within my own essence.
Living each second. Life overthrown.
Author's Notes: Reflections on the Empress of the Major Arcanum and it's connection to creation and the sense of becoming. As a young woman I think often about motherhood, and the wonders that are the actions of the womb.
