Marks upon the windows
Marks upon the wall
Marks across the table tops
As I give forth my all
Marks put on the paper
Marks that really scrawl
Marks that cause me wonder
As I give forth my all
Marks along the pavement
Marks as I try to stand so tall
Marks as school’s first day begins
And I give forth my all
Marks as I pass her locker
Marks as I see her in the hall
Marks as I slip her my number
As I give forth my all
Marks upon a bended knee
Marks when time did crawl
Marks she said yes to me
As I give forth my all
Marks I try not to fumble
Marks she is so very small
Marks she is my first born
As I give forth my all
Marks as she turns and walks away
Marks as I stand in thrall
Marks she has grown up so
As I give forth my all
Marks at her wailing cry’s
Marks at his first squall
Marks as I hold my grandson
As I give forth my all
Marks I left behind me
Marks yet to befall
Marks made throughout my life
As I gave forth my all
Marks as breath grows short
Marks the Lady does call
Marks for my full, full life
And I gave forth my all
Marks as time turns the wheel
Marks a loud caterwaul
Marks I am reborn again
