Sky Scrye

I asked
from within the sacred circle
They answered
with one merciful answer,
and a miracle
I asked
which of five futures may be true
They answered
I think I’m free of the chains of you.
I asked
from between the moon and rising sun
They answered
‘helped restore my body and soul as one.
I asked
empty talisman held to heart
They answered
proving once more that Life is really Art
I asked
from the place she’s sorrowfully missed
They answered
in a dense and sudden shroud of morning mist
I asked
with the moon perched right over her place
They answered
when they hid the moonlight’s lovely face
I asked
from the place we often sinned
They answered
through dark clouds, carried on the wind
I asked
- we'd Be if she broke through the cloud
They answered
‘hid her completely in a misty morning shroud
I asked
and got an answer I’d been seeking
They answered
- maybe not with what I wanted -
but with the answer I’d been needing.
I asked
I held out for moonlight until I fell
They answered
They brought sweet closure to this hell
And when I closed the circle
there ‘tween the shrouded sun and moon, in line
They played again the hand of miracle
They let The Moon and Sun both shine!
Author's Notes: Is it okay to write about what happens in our solitary circles? This from early Sunday morning.
