Summer's Death

Age Group: Adult
The green of the tree's
the flower's that bloom
not to long now,
it will be over soon.
The green's turn to red
the flowers will die.
Time to tell summer
one final goodbye.
Don't weep for the tree's
the flowers, and grass.
They'll return soon,
just let winter pass.
For now we can watch,
as all the trees sleep
as everything quiet's down
for a winter so deep.
We'll wait for next summer,
for swimming and sun.
And we'll do this all again
when next summer is done.
