Not Like Me

You say you know
what I feel,
the hate, the pain,
the loss and gain
of emotions running wild.
You say that you
can help me now.
sorting things,
confronting things
that are tearing me apart.
You say you've been there too
and you feel what I feel,
you live with it,
deal with bit by bit
yet so clueless you are still.
You think you know,
you try to care, but
I didn't ask for this,
the gift of being loveless
and having no one there.
You try and try
but I stay alone,
it's better this way
keeping others at bay
while I fight my own battles.
Remember one thing
when you see that I've won
My battles are mine,
I'll get through fine,
and still your not like me.
