How Are You So Blind To Me?

We go to class,
we glance at eachother.
Both thinking the other
doesn't notice us.
We arrived at the dance,
seperate, our worlds different.
We danced, glances continued.
The last song,
a slow song,
you asked me to dance.
I said yes.
You're hands on my hips,
mine on your shoulders,
our bodies seperate,
for now.
Slowly, to the beat,
we move
becoming closer,
becoming one.
I beg for the song to go on,
just as the last notes fade,
I lay my head on your shoulder
you hold me longer than you should have.
I have a feeling
life hasn't changed.
I shouldn't have gotten attached.
It'll be a disaster.
What can I do?
I don't want to hurt you,
or anyone else.
I wish that things were different.
But you're blind to me.
How are you so blind.
