My Remembrance Day Thoughts

Goodnight Peace,
until we rise tomorrow.
Then, when we rise,
you can keep us safe.
Thank you Peace,
for sticking by our side.
Thank you Peace,
you know how hard we've tried.
Goodnight Hero,
your forever in my heart.
Thank you Hero,
for fighting for your country.
Thank you soldiers,
for risking all you do.
Every single day I wish,
that I could do it too.
Thank you all for fighting,
even though the job is grim.
Our thanks don't really seem enough
because your risking life and limb.
I hope my thanks are not in vain,
even though I'm not alone.
Thank you for fighting for the place,
that you and I call home.
Author's Notes: I wrote this after a Rememberance Day assembly that our school had. Hope you all like it.
