A Place we call Plateau

Let me take you to a special place
that far too few men and women know
A place where you can touch God’s face
It’s a pleasant height of land we call Plateau
On this Journey there rare friendship forged
But it’s a long dark hard way up you know
from this low rift where we are now engorged
To that bright Holy high ground we call Plateau
It’s a Journey reserved for Love’s True givers
But it’s a long hard way up that we must go
from this sweet merging of two impure rivers
Up to that Ecstatic place we call Plateau
It’s a treacherous path of ups and downs
But each height gained is greater than each low
So we venture on through smiles, tears, past frowns
Towards that sweet promised land we call Plateau
Take both my hands as we now ascend aroused
To that plain where our two bodies As One glow
Here one limitless temple where Gods are housed
In this spiritual high wilderness we call Plateau
Author's Notes: This from the side of a dark, lonely road, during a drive though very beautiful wooded landscape, thinking about a powerful place, a special friend, and Life, while the hilltops were obscured in cloud.
