Moonlight Goddess
(I Scream)
I kneel here before you Maiden
You softly whisper, “go away!”
You make me feel ‘bad’, like Satan
Though its true - I want your soul today
Still I long for you, lovely Mother
But you say, “you must be mistaken”
But I see not any other Shining One
My world view you’ve powerfully shaken
So I dream quest about you Wise One
I swear sometimes I hear you answer
I would embrace you warmly like the Sun
I want you to be my moonlight dancer
So I now pray under bright moonlight
I skrye to cloudy wisps in the night sky
I am sure you know we feel just right
So yet again I ask myself, “so why...?”
I scream, “Crone divine” through my tears
Selfishly, needfully, with my heart on fire
Elusive, yet a maiden fair among your peers
Though you Shine from some place Higher!
You know you are a moonlight Goddess
I’m sure I’ve looked for you all these years
So please don’t just sit there looking godless
Come, let’s get beyond these unspoken fears.
