The Solitary Heart

Long for long enough
for the Love long lost
and Lo, before long
you will find
The reward is the cost
we were never wrong
but the longing’s not gone
we just find ourselves loving
everything
every one.
So alone we finally belong
The longing did make us strong
All of Life is now more like Art
and so we meet and merrily part
it’s the way of the Solitary Heart
Though we dismount our dark horse
I will still love you of course
With no regrets
and no more long remorse
