I may not stand for what is "good"
But I will fight against what's "bad"
I have no use for the word "should"
I strive for the Beauty we once had
So hear me now girl, listen up
We have no cause to feel sad
You top up my half-filled cup
But I am old enough to be your dad
So take this now from this old man
For whatever it is worth
I see the Goddess in you woman
I love your wrath, I love your mirth
I may not stand for what is "right"
But I will fight against what's "wrong"
Lets not see things in black & white
Contrasting colours make us strong
So listen up my young Goddess blue
In your sadness there is no reason
I'll reach for you, though I'm godless true
In each dark day in every season
So take this now from this young man
For whatever it is worth
My heart goes out to every woman
Who suffers upon Her own Good Earth
