Force us from our open space
Her barren land where I am free
Cage me in your urban rat race
Where you've as much as jailed me
Cut us off from our clear open sky
With concrete ceilings overhead
Disconnected then we start to die
Here where natural life is all but dead
Extract us from our forest green
Like one too many loads of lumber
Nail me down into your urban scene
Bored, disconnected, we just slumber
Damn us from free-flowing steams
Like salmon kept from homes you sever
Cut me off from Her wet dreams
Tapped and tamed just like your river
Steal away our mystic night sky
With your false electric light
Disconnect us from magick on high
Here where the stars shine never bright
Foul brown our daylight sky blue
with pollution from your hungry cars
Disconnected from the fresh air true
Where we gasp breath as if through bars
Steel me from our green open space
To where your structures slash the wind
Disconnected i can no longer touch Her face
Here where He turned from Her and sinned
