What are you trying to tell me
when you look at me that way?
Is it your world you would sell me
or are you about to fly away?
What is it when you look at me
flashing soft eyes with your turned head
It makes me love you more but sadly
It makes me wish that we were wed
Then your laughter turns to silence
and your smile fades toward yearning
Fortress walls go up in your defense
You, still the mystery I’m learning
What is it that you want to say
when you fall back on the mundane?
I would run away with you today
Though we both know that is insane
What is it you are trying to show
when all your thoughts become undone?
Are you basking again in our afterglow
‘Remembering how we were once One?
