Just Another Poem

I watch as lovers pass me by,
I watch as they do smile.
I watch as they share moments,
making life worthwhile.
I wonder as I watch them,
do they realize...
They do have what some do not,
as they wallow in the prize.
That they share what most long for,
that what they’ve got is great.
The love they have is greater still,
than the pain, the grief and hate.
The latter are all passed around
with little question as to why.
Why do we hate what we know not,
when to understand we do not try?
I look again at peoples passed
and try to look for reason.
Yet there is none from what I see,
and the world will go on hence.
We will watch as lovers pass,
we will watch as they do smile.
As they share their moments,
making life worthwhile.
Author's Notes: I guess "devotional" is pushing it... but depending on how you read it, this could fall under a lot of categories... I've had the worst case of writers block in the entire world and this is the first poem I've written in about.... four or five months. Hope you like.
