Here, breathe in deep dear Mother
Through choking smog and toxic fumes
Then exhale clean air for our brother
That he will fowl up with greenhouse gas
and six hundred million noxious smoke plumes
Breathe in deep dear Mother
Breath in again for all of us...
(Oh dear Mother you must not stop)
Here, have a sip of water dear Mother
filtered from greener industrial waste
Its full still of one carcinogen or another
But its recycled, so how does it taste?
Here's to your kidneys dear Mother!
'May they never fail..
Drink up dear Mother, you can't stop
Drink up dear Mother, until we drop
Come stroll with me dear Mother
Through what used to be your garden
Though much is lost to weeds that smother
- half the flowers, bees and birds are gone...
It's still green like us so we'll beg your pardon
(Oh Mother will his war on you be ever won?)
Fight on dear Mother, you must not stop...
Fight on Erthan Modar until He drops
Its okay, cry with us Mother Nature
Enough salt tears to cleanse the ocean
Though He writes green laws in leglislature
They are not enforced, they have no teeth!
As if ecology - our life line - is a mere paper notion!
Cry for us Mother Nature
Raindrops to clear the air and all beneath
Its okay. Just cry for us.
Just cry...
