Infatuation, you are the tyrant
that keeps me on my knees
You leave me long in empty want
when I only mean to fully please
Infatuation, you are the beast
that commands and rules my life
You demand most when I'm the least
you are all that's left in my dark strife
Infatuation, please believe me
I do not need your bitter ends
I only want our Higher Love to be
Between good equal unlike friends...
Sweet Infatuation, leave me not
for I can not Love Her True without you
She seems All to me I ever sought
so I still fear, but I 'll not doubt you!
