My Spells

Age Group: Adult
My spell was for Strength
And done with such care
How little did I know
That the Lady was there
With fire and strife
And difficulties to boot
The Lady planted strength
And it took root.
I thought my spell didn’t work
I just could not see
The changes the Lady was making in me.
My spell was for Wisdom
Cast with great care
I didn’t understand
That the Lady was there
With problems and puzzles
And answers to find
The Lady touched me
And opened my mind
I thought my spell didn’t work
I just could not see
The changes the Lady was making in me.
My spell was for Wealth
Performed with much care
I still didn’t see
That the Lady was there
With so many overtime hours
I thought I would die
The Lady stood with me
She was ever nearby
I thought my spell didn’t work
I just could not see
The changes the Lady was making in me.
My spell was for Love
I finished with care
I couldn’t believe
That the Lady was there
I think She laughed
Must have split her sides
When my car broke down
And I hitched a ride
I thought my spell didn’t work
I just could not see
The changes the Lady was making in me.
My spells never worked ?
I have thought with much care
That the Lady was with me
She was always there
I never got what I wanted
I got much more then I need
The Lady was kind
And She took the lead
I thought my spells didn’t work
Now I can see
The changes the Lady is making in me.
