My Wild Irish Rose
Valentine's Day, 2007
Prick me so I know you're real
Through these initial highs and lows
Your healing pain by thorn I truly feel
Be thee my dark wild Irish Rose
Bud perennial under moonlight
So our Love of Olde anew aglows
Your dark sepals grow soon bright
Come back for me my Irish Rose
Remind me by subtle Earthan scent
While beyond winter's chill wind blows
Of our eternal Love so warm and ardent
Come back with me my lovely Irish Rose
Let me taste again your nectar sweet
Just lay back in resplendent repose
Let me kneel in worship at your feet
Come again for me my wild Irish Rose
Baptize me in your full bloom folds
Then come get lost in Beauty's throes
Walk with me as veiled history unfolds
Take my hand my mystic Irish Rose
