Beauty is all around
In The Lady’s Gifts it does abound.
Open your eyes that you may see
For From Her hand it does flow freely.
Quiet is placed the cloud
Which touches the ground
In gentle embrace
Like Lover’s entwined
Earth and sky share a kiss
Within a blanket of silver gray
Fog.
Beauty is all around
In The Lady’s Gifts it does abound.
Open your eyes that you may see
For From Her hand it does flow freely.
Swirling round
Questing ever, never resting
Howling torn up … up
Then down and turned about
Till nor’easter tires
Settling slow toward
Winter’s nesting
Blanketing the ground
Snow.
Beauty is all around
In The Lady’s Gifts it does abound.
Open your eyes that you may see
For From Her hand it does flow freely.
Carried high by mountain winds
Howling, joining
In ones, two’s … more
Then still more
Fast falling earthward
Like frosted diamonds
Striking, bouncing then still
Ice slowly melting
Fracturing light
Into rainbow colours
Hail.
Beauty is all around

Glowing violet pinks on soft gray
Bursting colours shatter
Nights last shards of shadows
First a glimmer
Then crossing the sky
In fiery explosion of day
Sunrise.
Beauty is all around

Guttering with a breath
Straight and tall in stillness
Shredded shadows cast
With gleaming singularity
Warm yellow brightness
Night stands abated
The dark recedes
Candle.
