How can you keep on sleeping
while the sparrows sing their song
How could I stop from dreaming
before a cool wind blowing strong
How can you keep on hiding
while the warm sun begins to rise
How could I stop from riding
under still misty morning skies
How can you keep on crying
while rowan & poplar starts to leaf
How could I stop sky skrying
below grey clouds in disbelief
How can you keep on thinking
while springs beauty starts to bloom
How could I stop from drinking
beneath thunderheads that loomed
How can you keep on giving
while day breaks again enlightening
How could I ever stop surviving
after another storm so frightening
