Elemental Etherees

Air
Blowing
Winds of change
Leaves are rustling
Signalling a storm
Humid air, sultry winds
Oppressive and smothering
Stifling my breath, damp on my skin
Stagnant and unfulfilling zephyrs
Bringing forth the cascade of wild rain.
Wet
Clammy
Pouring rain
Stormy gales gust
Rain pummels the ground
Leaves fall about, beaten
Birds hide in their bare branches
Quaking from the sudden storm's chill
Water slides down my neck in droplets
Clammy skin with goosebumps beneath soaked clothes.
Flame
Blazing
Crackling high
Licking upwards
Seeking oxygen
To continue its growth
Higher it climbs, embers spark
Hot coals below, stoking the flare
Coruscating, dazzling to the eyes
Look away before your cornea's burn.
Earth
Rocky
Mountainous
Stable beneath
Our wobbling feet
Sustaining the green growth
Trees sprouting proudly upwards
Fresh smell of spring mud lingering
Dirty toes squishing in the damp muck
Soil, fresh and ready to be planted.
