Fine leather and black lace
Upon dark horses under rein
Through your most lovely face
I ride on with your Mother again
She will no longer ride on high
Out of fear that She might fall
So She will no longer touch the sky
Nor mount the bridled Glory of it All
Horse whips stiff and soft saddles
Transport us gladly high above
The dark phantom She still straddles
Trying to break her bucking Love
She no longer rides on wild
Out of fear that She might fall
So She rides through Her child
In the good Grace of it All
White shirts and torn breeches
Marked with blood and grass stains
Reveal the lessons that She teaches
Behind curb chains and flowing manes
