When there is nothing left to do
But wait for our bitter end
Though vast dry forests are falling too
You'll still forever be my friend
When there is nothing left to say
But to welcome in our blackest end
Though great rivers then will shrink away
I will yet flow strong to you my friend
When there is no green place left to grow
That has not been laid waste before us
When spring frogs and birds no longer show
I'll still sing for you Life's graceful chorus
When there is nothing left to eat
And seeds sown in soils dead won't flourish
Though long famine winds ride in that heat
You'll find in friendship cool I'll nourish
When there is no water left to drink
As your last lake succumbs to drought
Though all our Hope's been lost you'd think
That's when true Love turns things about...
