Yes, make Love for all its worth
Love as if there's no tomorrow
For in its wake we'll find Rebirth
Upon our tearful seas of sorrow
Yes, throw our cautions to the wind
Let come on what storms may be
For we'd knot know Grace unless we sinned
Nor true Pleasure lest we set sail free
Yes, sometimes Love will run aground
When we journey forth so reckless
Though lost at sea we will then be found
Our heavy hearts our compass neckless
These lovers that will take us down
Are such a blessing in their own right
For we'd not know Mercy 'lest we drown
Nor our Sun's warmth if not their longest night
They'll never know the harm they've done
Nor the true navigators they have been
Ship-wrecking us upon greener shores won
Their gales yielding to seascapes serene
