A Call To Duty

Call To Duty
Soft and wide golden eyes gently probe
dark shaded pelts are silk soft and warm and a swift tail flicks and twitches
With intent I see "The Paw of Possession" purposely set against my wrist
Soft quarrels and chirps let me know my attention is required
It's time supper's due !! Time for the day's adventures to be told
OK ! Click ! Computer off and I turn to follow
From all rooms come swift darting shadows calls and ankle wraps
calls from the Kitchen lets me know the baby is waiting too
Gentle pats and soft songs , a solemn waiting line of souls
whirl and dance , the supper cans sing as water bowls are refilled
good manners and twitchy tails as supper is served, and enjoyed
Upturned bellies and soft bumping heads time for petting and brushes
7 sweet Souls & Companion Spirits What Joy and Love
As blest I am to share this turn with these small Companions
