Let me bring you one final bouquet
For like the leaves I simply have to go
Before October winds blow me away
Before we lie down together in the snow
I will create it of your own wild flowers
Gathered like your own resplendent Beauty
To remind us of two fall lovers' powers
Expressed in Truth outside halls of duty
These white aster flowers as fine as lace
Like my lady's lovely body they surround
Remind me always of your moonlit face
Smiling bright as garments fall to ground
These tall and bolder purple asters
That tower high above our mortal green
Must shine then die the same as last year's
Resurrected yearly by Love's force unseen
Come ride with me beneath the waxing moon
With your equinox bouquet at hand
Though my Lover, I will leave you soon
We'll still forever meet within Her land
