Old ice fields now are shrinking
Our summer longer than e'er before
This warm autumn night I'm thinking
Of all the signs we can't ignore...
Her old water well's now drying
October warmer than e'er before
This dry autumn night she's crying
For all the things she can't restore...
Wild polar bears are drowning
Crossing leads wider than e'er before
I write tonight in comfort frowning
For special things we can't restore...
Southern desert lands are growing
Witness our climate's change effect
By this pleasant evening air I'm knowing
There's so much life we can't protect...
Great northern lakes are dying
Her winter fury milder than before
Despite the signs we're still not trying
This imbalance we must not ignore!
