Disappearing Act...

If absense makes your heart grow fonder
Then I must learn finally to disappear
To keep my distance from your Eden yonder
And forget that Heaven loomed once near
I've never learned to leave you all alone
To let your empty thoughts finally sink in
To let your hardened heart drown like a stone
Nor offer up my sea of silence to drink in
I've never walked away from you before
For I could not then bear to be without you
Now I had best not see you ever more
Because I still love but always doubt you
In time I'll not regret not seeing you
For I will tell my self its for the best
I'll be content though yearning being true
To my life dark I'll tell myself I'm blessed
If absense makes our hearts grow fonder
Then I must leave you now and disappear
Keep my distance from my angel yonder
And ignore you the goddess waning near
