Thy silence whispers that you love me
But you engage me still adversely
Then like the moon you rise above me
I have been always at thy dark mercy...
Thy silence drives me on so gently
But you address me still so tersely
Then like a Lady 'fore Her lowly gentry
I'll be always a servant at thy mercy...
In thy silence I walk proud with Thee
But then you spin around and curse me
Come lie down and softly talk with me
I've been always the Lover at thy mercy...
Through the silent hell I'm living through
I can not ever fairly reimburse Thee
No matter how much gold I'm giving you
I'll be always a subject at your mercy...
Sometimes in silence I still drown with you
But then I find you lovingly immerse me
And though I'd love to just go down with you
Instead I'm always longing at your mercy...
