Rippling Rings of Light...

Growing Rings of Light

Its a warmer evening breeze now blowing
Beneath this soothing setting April Sun
Glistening through fresh green grass growing
Since your long departing has finally begun...
There's a tom gobbler strutting yonder
Encircling thrice his darkly smitten hen
While I the hunter pause engorged in wonder
How once like fooled I was Love-bitten then
There's a halo 'round the waxing Sun this eve
So in three days there must fall sheet rain
Perhaps She might by then finally believe
Her spell no longer inflicts black sweet pain
When these warm winds die out I light afire
This dead dry sacred fallowed ground
Such flames once felled me circled in desire
I now stand tall here swallowed not but found
There's a cold ring 'round the waning moon
Still this gold band shines around my finger
By silver sage smoke rings rising find in rune
Its there written: you'll not above me ever linger
