In the waxing light of pre-dawn
Under a waning crescent moon
Do you reflect on how we once shone
In Love's day that ended far too soon?
By eastern blues through passing cloud
Beyond the fading moonset of mid-morning
Do you reflect on things we said out loud
Before our Love you ended without warning?
Beneath mid-days bright stark Sun
In the hottest dryest heat of noon
Do you reflect ever on our dark fun
How Love's oasis turned too soon to dune?
In the backlit azure blues of west
Beyond the waning light of our fairest day
Do you reflect on afternoons spent best
After our Love, once heated, went away?
In the evening shadows of this sunset
Under a clearer moonless spring sky
Do you reflect on kisses once we met
Might you give Love just one more try?
