Like a sweet bastard child
You simply can't let go
Like all things rare and wild
You need to get to know
Like long summer days so mild
After deep winter's chill and snow
I've only ever really been here
Supportive, warmly at your side...
Like a young lame good horse
You simply can't put down
Like the pure cold watercourse
In which you let me drown
Like renewed Spring's Life force
After dead autumn leaves fall down
You've only ever laid me down here
Supportive, at your mystic side...
Like a helpless dying little fawn
That you know we can't revive
Like black days tortured and then drawn
Bright, we somehow yet survive
Like darkness gives to breaking dawn
In its Light we still somehow come alive
We've only ever been true equals here
Supportive, at each others' opposite side...
