A Fellow Man

Walking in the Elders’ forest
I’ve met ancient trees bowing back to Earth
Some weeping, joyful, or at rest
But I found one pushed on haze’s reef
“I don’t know”, he answered
With his misty spirit and virgin gaze
He made my soul question the grief
From us all leaving the maze
I know his roots are deep anchors
Though now his mind only gathers
The feelings of a versed heart
He floats on the moment’s surface
Meeting past people who resurface
They, everyday, recites him stories of a fellow man
