The plants will have the final word
About what is and what is not pollution
When no more talk of global warming's heard
Then dense forest trees rise up in revolution
The trees will scream out then in silence
As Her dark woods grow wiser in collusion
Earth-denying nations fall inward in defiance
While more green leafs out in the confusion
Wild flowers tall are quietly pulling rank
Her Beauty spreading wide in their profusion
Lapping up these blessed rains we've drank
While news-men sustain tHis dry illusion
Tall grass meadow legions are expanding
Like the arctic's ice southward intrusion
To challenge learned men's Earth understanding
Against 'the warming' She delivers Her solution
The forest plants will have the final word
As the arguments 'for' and 'against' unfold
Soon fears of 'the warming' will seem absurd
When our Earth Mother returns a deathly cold
