Like two embers upward rising
Cast so high from out the fire
Against darkness light streams surprising
Riding torrid winds whipped hot by desire
Like two embers glowing bright
For but nine seconds high above
Weaving through stars into night
Leaving below the pyre source of Love
Like two embers onward streaming
Spawning salmon red up the hard river
Against black water currents dreaming
Sliding silken wet in heat we shiver
Like two warm embers skyward thrust
Before cold damp air takes us down
Do we flare pure for Truth or wild lust
In the moment there before we drown
Like two embers unto dark heaven fly
Illumed swirling through the moonlight
Even stars must grow blue then die
After flowing white hot liquid at height
