Famine Seeds of Winter

White snow will just keep falling
Through the long winter too few feared
Wise southbound owls are yonder calling
Leaner since their northern prey base disappeared
The colder temperatures keep falling
In this arriving winter deep too few foresaw
Ponder why men in downturns keep forestalling
This winter from Wisconsin wilds to olde Warsaw
Al Gore’s silenced minions now are scowling
As men count down and deer hunters’ harvest drops
At the bank's front door now hungry wolves are howling
While eastward the world's poor now faces failing crops
Mens white lies like snows will just keep piling high
While our Sun unnoticed resumes its quiet mode
Soon both poor men and wild beast lie down and die
Under colder city winters harsher crushing load
Light snows at night just keep on falling
As snowshoe hare numbers like oil stocks implode
While o’er scraps waning nations are set to brawling
Each reaping now the winter famine seeds they sowed
