These days are surely getting longer
But our Sun is really not much stronger
He may evade yet will not ever wrong Her
It has been prophesied in ancient rune
Great old bucks lie down chilled in hunger
But this winter kills such deer fawns younger
He delivers what frosts Fate has brung Her
Come March still drumming lightly winter's tune
Hind dark winter’s frigid lunar night is waning
But white frozen lake and arctic ice is gaining
He shines yet finds this colder dawn is draining
At times our Sun bows mindful to the Venus Moon
Its a more southern lingering Sunset glowing
But cold stinging northern winds are blowing
He brings low warmth but She’s not showing
Not even in the safest height of full solar noon
These crisp March days are growing longer
But our weakened Sun is not really stronger
Snow-flakes fall within like thoughts among Her
Wondering if this Spring might not arrive soon…
